Harperprints' Pressroom offers a unique and powerful combination of 40" Heidelberg presses which allow for the highest quality printing at faster speeds and lower costs that the conventional presses of old. Our 10-color perfecting press with roll-to-sheet feeder is the only one of its kind in the southeastern United States. This press will print full color on both sides of the sheet (plus a varnish or additional spot color) in a single press pass. This cuts approval, makeready and run times in half when compared to conventional 4 - 6 color presses. The roll to sheet configuration allows us to utilize roll stock which is up to 42% less expensive than sheet stock. The one-two punch of perfecting and roll-to-sheet feeding makes short run publications a perfect fit. In many cases we are not just the highest quality choice, but often offer the fastest delivery and most competitive price.
Our 6-color Heidelberg is the perfect companion to the 10-color. While it can certainly produce conventional process work, it also adds the ability to print on board stock up to 24 points thick. A coating tower with extended delivery applies a fast drying dull, satin or high gloss aqueous coating.
Both presses utilize a scanning spectrophotometer to speed makeready time and ensure the highest level of color accuracy and control throughout the press run.
